Which league is the SB Travel Program Participating in?
We are entering the BAYS League. You can find out more information here.
What is the Season Format and Schedule?
The season takes on two separate schedules. A fall schedule beginning in September and concluding in November and the Spring Schedule beginning in April with the season concluding in June.
Season contains 10 games with playoffs. Games are held on holiday weekends during the 10 game schedule.
Each Season consists of a weekly weekend game, the time and schedule of which is released by the BAYS. Below is the current Spring 2024 schedule for age groups, we expect Fall 2024 to be similar.
Each team will practice a minimum of once per week at Evans Field.
It is expected that each player can commit to most games and practices.
BAYS FALL 2024 SEASON SCHEDULE:
ALL GAMES PLAYED ON SATURDAYS (10WK Schedule: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/05, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/02, 11/09)
Grade 3: Girls @ 10:30AM, Boys @ 2:30PM
Grade 4: Girls @ 11:45AM, Boys @ 1PM
Grade 5: Girls @ 11:45AM, Boys @ 1PM
Grade 6: Girls @ 10:30AM, Boys @ 2:30PM
Where are home and away games played.
Home games will be played at Moakley Field, Saunders Stadium.
Away Games are played at the fields of those teams participating in each age cohorts league. While we are not 100% sure, its a safe assumption at this stage that the travel geography is within 30 miles of South Boston.
Are there uniform and equipment purchasing requirements for players?
Each player will be required to purchase a uniform kit (2 Shirts, Shorts, Socks and a practice jersey). Cost is estimated to be $50-$80 (in addition to registration fee). Uniforms can be used for both/multiple seasons.
We will offer optional training items and team garments and equipment for purchase.
What is the Estimated Cost of the Program?
We are currently estimating the Season Cost of $185. This includes the following:
Participation in the Fall or Spring season (Each BAYS season will be a seperate registration)
1-2 Team Practices per week @ Evans Field.
MA Youth Soccer registration fee (Required for all players in BAYS)
Tryouts.
Please Note: Game Uniforms and Practice Attire (2 Shirts, Shorts, Socks and a practice Jersey) are a seperate cost that we estimate to be in the $50-80 range.*
When are Tryouts for the Teams?
Tryouts are complete. If you are still interested in joining a team, and did not try out or recieve your offer email for registration-please reach out to us directly.
What Teams are being consider for the Fall 2024 League?
We are currently planning on entering Girls teams and Boys teams. Each team is designated by age as defined by the Grade being entered by each player in the fall of 2024.
FInal team quanity and grade entered will depend on registration numbers to support each team.
Anticipated Girls Teams: Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6/7
Anticipated Boys Teams: Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6
Per BAYS regulations, Grade 3 is the youngest age group that can be registered. Teams can also be mixed (3rd/4th, 4th/5th, 5th/6th, 7th/8th). This will be decided by CKFC and coaches after tryout evaluations for proper team placement into BAYS.

Are there Citykids FC soccer program options in addition to BAYS travel?
Yes! Citykids FC will still operate our in-house leagues for any age group that does not enter a team/teams into the BAYS travel program Both in the fall and the Spring.
